All you need to know about FameLab 2018 in the Czech Republic.
FameLab is one of the biggest science competitions in the world. Do you want to know what are students of science, mathematics, engineering and young scientists and researchers currently working? Let young rising scientists entertain you with their three-minute presentations. Judges are looking for exciting and engaging talks that can be understood by a general public adult audience. Each presentation is judged according to the golden rule of the 3Cs: Content, Clarity and Charisma. Up to ten finalists are chosen from two regional heats. Audience can use their vote to send their favourite into the final.
For the first time in the Czech Republic, presentations will be in English as well as in Czech or Slovak.
FAMELAB CZECH REPUBLIC 2018 TIMELINE
- 28 February: Deadline for submitting applications for FameLab 2018 (Registration opens on 1 February 2018.)
- 10 March - 1s regional heat in Prague
- 24 March - 2nd regional heat in Zlín
- 13-15 April - MasterClass for finalists
- 13 May - FameLab 2018 Czech National Final, Sunday 13 May at 19.00, Studio Ypsilon, Spálená 16, Prague 1
- 5-10 June - FameLab 2018 International Final, Cheltenham, UK.

1ST REGIONAL HEAT PRAHA

Eleven young scientists took part in the 1st regional heat in Prague. For the first time in the Czech Republic, contestants could give their presentations in English as well as in Czech or Slovak.
