Young Learner Monitor
The posts will involve working for 3 hours (or 4.5) on weekdays between 13:45 and 16:45 (or 18:15) when our teaching centre is busy with Young Learner students. The purpose of this post is to ensure the safety and well being of all children at a time when many of them are not being monitored by other members of staff. A detailed breakdown of the requirements, duties and rate of pay can be provided upon request.
Monitors may choose to work on just one day a week or on several days depending on their availability, but they would need to be free at least for the 3-hour period requested. We are also looking for monitors who can be on call to fill in when other monitors are away.
Teaching Assistant
The post will involve assisting our experienced Early Years teachers in their lessons and being in the classroom 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the lesson to ensure the safety and well-being of our learners when the teacher isn’t present. Hours are 13:45-15:15 weekdays and the children are aged 4-6. Specialised training will be provided to the successful applicant. A detailed breakdown of the requirements, duties and rate of pay can be provided upon request.
Teaching Assistants may choose to work on just one day a week or on several days depending on their availability, but they would need to be free for the whole 90-minute period requested. We are also looking for Teaching Assistants who can be on call to fill in when other Teaching Assistants are away.
The two above roles are typically combined, i.e., working first as a TA and YLM afterwards in one day, or YLM the whole shift on another day.
