GETTING HERE     

The British Council office in Prague is located on the ground floor of Bredovský dvůr office block - in its modern extension part. The office is best accessible from Politických vězňů street, through the old building passage and via the courtyard.

  • The nearest metro stations:
    Hlavní nádraží (C) - 500m
    Můstek (A) - 350m
    Můstek (B) - 850m
    Muzeum (A,C) - 500m 
  • The nearest tram stations:
    Jindřišská - 400m
    Václavské náměstí - 450m
  • The main train station (Hlavní nádraží) is 500 m away

The environment around the British Council office might be challenging for visitors with disabilities. Please note that there are uneven surfaces like cobbled streets or level changes like kerbs. 

DROP OFF      

The nearest drop-off point is outside Bredovský dvůr building in Politických vězňů street.

  • This drop-off point is 50m from the British Council main entrance.

PARKING      

British Council in Prague does not have a car park.

  • There are pay-and-display parking spaces on Politických vězňů street right outside Bredovský dvůr building.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

MAIN ENTRANCE   

Step-free access to the British Council office is available from Politických vězňů street, through the old building passage and via the courtyard. The main door is accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users.

  • The width of the main entrance door is 80cm (185cm when both parts of the door are open). The second door following the main entrance is 140cm wide (280cm when both parts of the door are open). 

INSIDE THE BUILDING

RECEPTION    

There are several customer service desks located 6m from the second entrance door. Our staff will be happy to help if you require any assistance.

  • If you use a wheelchair, we will speak with you about a suitable emergency evacuation plan.

British Council office in Prague is on one level, with wide corridors accessible to visitors using wheelchairs.

  • There are accessible classrooms.

ACCESSIBLE TOILET    

There is an accessible toilet. It is suitable for people using wheelchairs.

  • The width of the toilet door is 90cm. The door opens outwards.
